Why is it always Dawn and Shirona?

Why? The internet probably.

I mean there is no canon to it unless you count the games, playing as Dawn in D/P/Pt and well stretching Cynthia's personality so the point where she's helping you cause she likes you and not just helping you to... well why does she help you really?

Basically... it just caught on. Kinda like how that whole Kyonko thing happened.

I say because of the games. If you play as Hikari and count the way Shirona acts towards you it can considered canon I suppose. =P

Because they're awesome together? It just works in my opinion. And yes, the games definitely hint toward it as well.
