Incidentally, Diamond also won the Arima Kinen on the day of Christmas back in 2016, something Lemaire also pointed out in an interview after the race.

Funny is Lememe aka Dia's Jockey is also Equinox's (Kitasan's spawn) . Not sure for Kingu though

Kingu's main jockey was riding Boldog Hos, which came in 2nd place. There's some dramatic irony involved here as this was not only was his last Arima, King Halo's only G1 victory played out almost the same as Equinox's Arima (King/Equinox passing Fukunaga at the end)

Speaking of the latter there was a photo of Equinox giving shocked stare as he look at Macchio and the other seiyuu with fake animal ears as if he saw a bunch of aliens
