Who's gonna be the MC? I'm hoping it's Yuuka but I see a lot of people claiming Hifumi is the true main-girl in the game.

I don't care who's main girl, but there *MUST* be a Sensei who interacts with the girls.

Depending on what plot threads it follows, there may not be any one main girl. While many of the stories intersect in some ways, currently they're all mostly independent. Hifumi has the most "normal girl" vibe, making her suitable as a main character, like Fubuki for the KC anime, but aside from briefly being involved with the Abydos girls, she's mostly been tied to the Trinity and Gehenna stories. Yuuka was of course the "starter girl" of the game, being the first Recollection Lobby the player gets, but she hasn't had much to do that didn't involve Millenium. Hina, more so than anyone else imo, feels like she's being pushed as an actual love interest. Shiroko is the face of the game, but hasn't done much outside Abydos, either.

Blue Archive just isn't like most gacha games, where you just collect characters into a single space. The characters go about their own lives in their own schools, and Sensei is at the center of it all. I'd be surprised to see a story that didn't include Sensei as a prominent character.

Sensei is physically present during battles and the one giving them orders, so I'm not sure how they'd make that work. Faceless maybe, but voiceless would just be bizarre, with how vocal Sensei is in the story.

Like, you can't just write off Sensei, not after that scene when they meet Black Suit for the first time, nor given that the primary antagonists care far more about Sensei than they do any of the students. Would just be strange to delegate them to a side roll when they're the only reason anything in the story even works out positively.

They made a canon commander for Girls Frontline, who had a presence, personality and voice. I don't see why they can't do that for a game that literally has an adult in the literal thick of all the fights in the game.

Sensei is very much important to the plot of the story. He's basically the moral compass/assistant/therapist etc. He's pretty much needed.

Didn't Arknights do that just recently?

I wish more anime that are based on games would just do original stories. If I wanted to experience the original story I would just play the game, but I get that some people would like to see that animated and all that. For the BA anime I'd really like if they focused on the characters and setting before Sensei came into the picture, but I really doubt they'll go that route.

Yes! arknights did it too.
Just like GFL, their doctor was a person who talked, and had a personality, and funny enough was also a girl.

Hah, it will be funny if they introduce the dark timeline here where sensei influence is small and arona is the one doing the decisions so that sensei doesn't talk much >:D
