The first volume is out in the US. It's pretty craptacular. Sure, there's fanservice, but there's no nudity and definitely no sex. The stories are pretty bland, too. It's mostly just stupid.
Hell I dunno. Popotan, Green Green (as mentioned), Shuffle (Not that the game was any better), Soul Link were all pretty awful. I don't really stay up on anime enough to give a longer list, but I feel pretty confident in my estimation that almost all H-game animes are awful.
Unless you want to argue that Kanon, Tsukihime, and Fate were also bad animes, which I can't really argue against. The pacing, especially in Fate was pretty bad, and Kanon has some pretty awful bits. (Like having every woman in the show being a total basket case)
Ammendment: And to really understand Tsukihime, you need an interpreter that's played the game, read the novel, or has at least read the threads on beastslair.
The Popotan anime was not that bad, compared to others... (well, I didn't play the game... -just watched the HCG, which does not tell much about the story :P)
An anime I appreciated was Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito... well, not perfect, but still one I really liked... (but as for Popotan, I only watched the HCG, not played the game :P)
I agree the Green Green anime totally sucked. However, this .gif is from the game "Green", which is completely unrelated. The game was made by Jellyfish, who also made the really well done game "Lovers", one .gif of which you can see here: post #61568
