They seem to be watching a scary movie. Usagi and Chibi are getting a little antsy.

I think its a sad movie they look more emotional than fearful, maybe the end of Old Yeller

Nope it is actually a kind warm expression, but due to over exposure the internet and its influences most of us cannot see that anymore (myself included).
