Looks like an anime cap to me. I never seen the anime myself. I was completely satsified with the visual novel.

The anime was a Fate route bastard. Everyone wants to see this for the eye candy - UBW was always the fan favorite.

If you mean the FSN fans with actual brains and some ability to feel compassion, then yes.

From what I can tell, it's fairly divided as to whether HF or UBW is the best route. But, it's pretty generally accepted that Fate is the worst (although, I'm not implying that Fate is a bad route, just that UBW and HF are awesome). And, further, it's generally accepted that the anime is a bad adaptation of the Fate route.

Fate is just so mediocre on every level that it MAY as well be considered BAD compared to both HF and UBW.

The anime adaptation was actually decent for Fate route. I mean it's not like it's anywhere near the level of the Tsukihime anime.

Well, yeah, that's kind of what I was implying. Fate on its own isn't bad, but it's not on the same level as UBW or HF.

In so far as it stuck to the Fate route, it was, yes. But, the whole Caster/Sakura arc was a total mess which seemed to entirely ignore established game canon (like how Rule Breaker works, and even how the Grail works) solely to allow them to shove Sakura's story and a bastardised version of the end of HF in there (and, this is coming from a Sakura fan, too...).
