It's good to see we've no shortage of French translators.

Yes I kept pressing save before I even put it at the right place :(

Btw isn't le calmant translated as "calming"? French is supposed to be my 2nd language but I fail terribly at it, so I tought I'd ask before editing :)

That was a joke (said that, because I don't know what was the english for calmant. English is supposed to be my 2nd language, but I fail terribly at it.)

I think the guy who wrote that meant "le calme" and not "le calmant".

Maybe he meant "Le Calmant" as in something to kill herself.
Calmant is also associated to Sedative in french.

Le calmant is correct, that is the name of the poem.
The word itself comes from the verb calmer, which means to soothe, or to calm somebody. So if you would translate le calmant literally it would be something like the calming or the sedative.

I've checked some websites that translated this poem but only a few actually translated the title (and used the calming). I did find that some Japanese guy translated the titles as the sedatives. I guess you could just translate it however you think it fits best =)

but even for french like me "le calmant" at the end is enigmatic... as said before, it may be mean "sedative" but, well... strange
    english not to bad?

Apparemment, faut pas chercher loin, c'est bien le titre du poème. Le calmant.
Et vu à quel point certain peuvent être logique, à mon avis, faut pas chercher midi à 14h.

Estime toi heureux que ce n'est pas du franglais ou quelque chose du genre.
Sinon, pense à un poème au niveau de la ponctuation.
