If Meiling continues to get pounded, the match might be lost to her. I believe Flan is still 75% capable to fight with her vision as it is.. and if she wasn't so flinchy from the damage she recieved, I'd say she'd be a good 88% capable of winning.

Suwamoe tosses China pretty damn high. I can't imagine a knee drop from that height (Or location) would feel too good.

If you are lucky you won't feel a thing when you wake up. Looks like its a pin as well. Well Meiling couldn't advance with Meiling's leg in the state its was in. I doubt Flan will fight i think she may run to Meiling like Chen did.

The artist redid the last strip due to an error. The hat was supposed to be gone from Meiling's attack. =w=

Suwako has definately started regressing to her old war god status, hopefully she's not too far gone that Flan can't beat some sense back into her (looking forward to it!)

but look at it this way this scene has to have another major conflict, they're not going to just end it here and have suwako wander red-eyed and giggling to sanae's room licking blood off her fingers.

Flan IS coming back into this fight and no matter how it goes the crazy is going to get Kyu~-ed out of suwako

(I'm just hoping it's with rightous beatings <3)

Not to be totally off-topic but after the Mokou/Kaguya mess I stop giving a damn about who wins and who loses. The only reason I continued to read and/or upload these strip is because of the artist's art style. Admittedly though I sorta died inside when I saw this one. Meiling is my favorite character and seeing her take a near-fatal blow like that sent chills down my spine. Hopefully the ending to this part of the series isn't as disappointing as the Mokou/Kaguya one.

Nice knowing you Suwako. Hopefully Once Flan sees what you did to Meiling it will cause her to mentally mature 400 years (if only for a few minutes) and put the lolipyre smackdown upon Suwako.

I give up. Damn you handwritten kanji! They're not calling her by her real title, which is 土着神の頂点, but it's something followed by 神の頂点. Can anyone else make out what it is?

It's 祟り, which is curse, or evil. Her titles gone from being Top of the Native Gods, to Top of the Evil Gods.

Look's like Sanae has a new hospital-buddy! And what's with the "Suwako is taking this too far!" bullshit? It's a fight! And Meiling almost did the same thing with the Shin Shoryuuken.

Yeah, no problem. That same kanji is used several other times in earlier strips, especially by Mima to proclaim herself as the so-called Evil-Deity of Hakurei Shrine.

Meiling knows Suwako is stronger and was trying to finish the fight, Suwako is trying to hurt Meiling. It is intent.

Yeah. Not sure how anyone can really take Suwako's side here at this point.

Flan at least has mental immaturity and lack of socialization to fall back on for her attitude. She really doesn't know any better and thus can't hold back.

Suwako's going deliberate to pick them apart at full strength, and slowly becoming more and more unhinged as she tries to hurt them. It barely looks like she's even doing it to avenge Sanae. She just looks like she's doing it to enjoy the sadism.

I suppose you do have a point there. I just happen to enjoy the sadistic thing is all. I agree that Suwako should've just tried to end it though, it seems like a rather crucial mistake.

With Meiling likely out I wonder if assuming team 200% wins, who flan will partner with? Is Sakuya still short a partner? Maybe Flandre and Suwako haha.

Suwako's making the same mistake that Yuuka did. Yuuka's sadism got in the way of winning the match. Sanae saw that she and Suwako would not be able to overpower Yuuka, so she took her by surprise and pinned her, thus ending the match. Yuuka could have easily held either Sanae or Suwako down and won, but she wanted to hurt people and ended up losing.

Suwako probably still wants to beat up on Flan. Based on all of the twists that the artist keeps putting in this series, Flan will either...

    A) Stop crying, be a big girl, and fight
    B) Go batshit crazy on this frog's ass
    C) Get scared and run away. Suwako chases after her. Cornered, Flan realizes that they're outside of the ring. The audience is then instructed to head to the nearest emergency exit (hopefully the kappa remembered to put some in when they were building the stadium, otherwise Yukari is going to have her hands full) in a calm and orderly fashion (like that will happen). The stadium is then leveled, and Suwako finds out why you shouldn't piss of a vampire on the night of the full moon. Yukari later considers trying to stick Remilia with the bill, but decides against it.

I won't be as disappointed if Flan is disqualified, but I will be ticked off if Suwako wins any other way. The arrogance that she is displaying isn't very becoming of a goddess.

Hell's Guillotine is the signature finishing move of no other than Akuma Shogun himself. As the victim is hurled towards the sky, the user will then follow up with inhumane speed, and accelerate down with the knee on the victim's throat. What follows up is a violent cough of blood from the impact. Certainly suits its name of being the guillotine from hell.

However, there is one possible weakness to this move, for the momentum of this move relies heavily on the user's body mass. A body close to a child might not be as fatal, but we are talking about a god here!

Either way, Meiling is knocked out cold, and might have a nasty permanent scar on her throat.

tldr version: To those that think Suwako was just intended to hurt them severely for Sanae, she is much eager to kill by using this move. In short, she is doing what Flandre did - Overkill and careless about the victim's well-being.

Guys, stop letting your individual fandoms rile you up and just enjoy the show.

On another note, I'm wondering if that actually missed. I don't know if it's the artist's style or not but that knee looks slightly misplaced in comparison to Meiling's head. Then again the artist does this a lot, I thought the match was over from Meiling using a Shin Shoryuken since the artist actually drew it as if Suwako got hit.

So this is proof irrefutable that Suwackjob is taking things way too far. I just realised a blow to the neck like that can KILL a normal human being.. and maybe a youkai like Meiling.

Despite that Sanae has been taken out by Flan, and NO she wasn't nearly killed, as Eirin proved it wasn't life threatening. Suwackjob is definatly out for blood.

Yeah but the funny thing is that Suwako doesn't know the wound isn't life dangering, all she knows is that Sanae got smacked badly to the point of nearly breaking her neck.

Now Suwako is angry and is going to beat them up and win, even in the most violent way.

On the other hand, Flandre hadn't realized yet how she over did it and how her using 4 of a Kind was way too questionable rule wise (maybe the kind that make people wonder if it was actually a legal move or not).

There won't be a fair outcome unless both Suwako chills down and fights properly again, and Flan realizes she fucked up and awknowledges she should had been more careful.

The whole "Evilzors Suwako" is stupid since you are forgetting that, no matter how innocent and naive Flan can be, she over did it in a way that is quite questionable and definitiely something to critique.

And those who say that Sanae should had quitted after the first match because of "human limits, blah blah blah", it's bulls**t. Winning by taking advantage of the chances is acceptable and with that logic of "no humans cuz they would be hurt by the youkais who won't stick to the "respect the debuff of the warrior" rule"

With that logic, neither Reimu and Marisa should be here, but i doubt anybody would like that, and you would probably whine if that happened.

Sanae has as much right to participate as any Youkai, and it isn't her "race" fault, that Flan overdid in a questionable way.

For me, the discussions related to this fight, feel more like silly fanarguments instead of analyzing the fight for what we are shown.

People who want Flan to win, would demonize and call on Suwako violent and questionable moves, but will go "apologetic" about Flan nearly breaking Sanae's neck through a questionable maneuver that could had actually broke the rules about not using powers outside of the physical ones.

And People who want Suwako to win, would call on Flan's overdoing it and claim that Suwako's rampage is justificable and should teach them a lesson by having a crushing victory over them, all this while forgetting that, while understable, Suwako's actions now aren't that acceptable (not more acceptable than Flan's screw up)

So Seriously, drop your fanboih and fangurl badge for a second and see the fight in a fair and square way, you can have your favourites and all, but don't act so zealous while blinding yourself of half the picture of any fight.

Sure is philosopherfag in here. Sanae got knocked out, well no shit, but how's that "nearly killing"? Even Eirin said it wasn't that bad. The artist is just trying to wring out some drama here, and apparently, he is *really* succesful.

Much as I want 200% to win, I believe the Moriyas will come out on top. It makes sense from a storytelling standpoint: you can't have the "noble" characters win every early match, because then there'd be no villains left to be humbled as the tournament nears the end. Kaguya is one such character; the underground team could arguably be called the second because of how they joined the fight; the deliberate savagery now on display by Suwako sets her up perfectly to be villain #3.

I'm positive the match has already been decided. The only thing that's up in the air is how Sanae will react to her partner having flipped her shit. She both garnered goodwill from the audience and set a positive example for the other fighters by granting a three-round match instead of taking an easy win. Suwako's pissed that all away by exacting a violent revenge against someone who had nothing to do with Sanae's knockout, and in fact tried to stop Flandre from overdoing it. (Where was this visceral reaction when Yuka was painting her swimsuit red with Sanae's blood?)

That would make sense IF the "noble" characters actually won more than once. Ran/Chen lost. Yuuka/Cirno lost. Mokou/Keine lost. The only team I rooted for that actually won was Reimu/Remilia, and only after a long pile of holy-fuck-who-is-judging-this-match events.

I am more into a double forfeit(Thus allow the inclusion of the extra duo). What I speculate:

    1) Suwako heads to Flandre to finish her off.
    2) The unconscious Meiling halts her and shields her little mistress. Afterall, she's her guardian as well as partner. Which will garner major manly tears for China.
    3) Whether Flandre snapped or not, Sanae would be back to stop the match.

That said, I fear for Suwako. Her frogness has to stop herself from even going (1) unless she wanted to earn a title that will soil her cute frog self.

All these happened and you wondered where Aya was. She could have stopped them when Suwako started her underhanded tricks.( That said, she might be wise enough to run from a goddess' wrath.)

The other thing is that from a storytelling standpoint if Flandre punks out in the end she misses her chance to grow. While it is ok for the villains to win it is bad if they win and the good guys end up being the anti heroes.

Well she was helping ones side cheat in the early matches, but this one I think she is not getting involved with a crazy lolipyre or a pissed off war god.

I'll admit that I've never seen the original Kinnikuman, but I don't remember the Ref doing jack crap in any Ultimate Muscle match. So it could possibly be an indirect reference to that? Though i admit I barley remember anything from that series at all so if I'm wrong, then ignore me.

On an unrelated side note i love how there's so many people commenting on this one fight than all the past fights put together.

If Suwako wins, I wouldn't be surprised if she was slammed by the Karma Train at full speed later on in the story.

For one, Kinnikuman's matches tend to be Good vs Evil, and in those matches, it's mostly survival of the fittest. Killing is not uncommon, and considering the strength and ruthlessness of the Evil side, no referees would dare to step in against them. There are cases early on where the referee became the scapegoat and died.

However, in this match, neither side is the pure Evil, and their powers are somewhat restricted inside the barrier. There is no reason for Aya not to break them apart just like in Terryman vs Ramenman.

Okay, I know, too much geekism over Kinnikuman here...

Like I stated earlier, this match could possibly put a damper on Suwako's popularity (Or earn her a new personality of being a brute when angered). Like, we all know that Yuuka is a monster, or that Kaguya and Mokou are sworn enemy. But this is the first time we see the cute frogness... snapped?

I think there's some irony in me weighing in on either side here, after the way I reacted to the vore strip a couple of months back where Kanako murdered Marisa. And honestly I'm surprised I'm not outright condemning the way Suwako's being written here, since Meiling's one of my top 3 favorites in the whole cast.

BUT, good points have been made on both sides here. Suwako's a goddess who's existed over 2,000 years. The time she comes from, people didn't treat each other so nicely - she pretty much says as much when Flan asks her to play after Sanae got carried off. Sanae is her priestess, and her descendant, someone she's frequently portrayed as loving like a daughter. A vampire child comes along, gravely hurts her without even understanding that that might be a BAD THING, she's going to be seeking (literally) divine retribution.

Meiling isn't the principal target here, she's standing in the way of payback towards Flan. Try to remove the obstacle, which she does with ruthless efficiency. Then the realization that the youkai she had underestimated nearly cleaned her clock affects her pride on another level again, and Meiling gets the "respect" of being viewed as an actual threat. Hurt her so she can't be hurt in turn, basic survival.

The remainder of the match won't be pretty. I'm NOT inclined to think Flan is guaranteed a win should they fight out of the ring. I think a god who fought off invasions by other gods until being trumped by someone whose powers specifically countered hers will be well-matched against a vampire, full moon or not.

The point's moot, anyway. Yukari WILL step in if things get out of hand, in her view. I'm predicting Kanako and Sanae will reappear and calm "Suwhackjob" down... the trick will be calming Flan down, but that's what Meiling and Remi are for.

Rate up, rate down, feel free. I'll just keep reading until I'm no longer entertained.

Damn these matches. Team Scarlet deserves this win. even though she did rough house Sanae quite a bit, Sanae was not actually in any serious danger (Eirin is a professional, trust her words) and was doing all of that in order to gain the approval of Remi.

Meiling is there being the 'good friend' / 'caretaker' for Flan and playing with her and trying to keep her out of danger. She is also trying to teach Flan lessons as they go through (note the "we'll talk later" after Sanae left the stage).

Sanae and Suwako have been playing dirty the whole time from the very beginning (remember that Sanae was the one who initially made the mace mixture)

On a side note, I do believe that team Scarlet is going to win due to foul play. If you remember the rulings for this set of matches (5instances of foul play = DQ), Suwako has been pretty bad so far: pepper spray mist, wrapping the ropes around Meiling to limit movement (outside of their normal usage), utilizing her iron rings to create the explosion/smoke screen...if Aya isn't being a fail judge like the Kaguya/Mokou match (damn that match...2.999 bullshit) then Suwako is quickly heading to a DQ in the third and final bout.

Although I say that Scarlet 200% will win this match, their importance in the story overall is minimal , so I assume they will lose their following match.

    Don't forget two things tho,

Flandre is not ordinary vampire. Remilia is strong for a vampire, Flan makes Remilia look like a weakling. That and she destroyed a meteor buy crushing it's eye (non canon).

Marissa even avoids Flan canonically speaking due to her power and instability.

Oh, I know. It's precisely because of that that I think they're well-matched against each other. True power rankings are lolz in Gensokyo, but both of them being EX bosses counts for something.

As for Flan's ability, it is possibly the single most dangerous one in the whole continuity. That's assuming she's allowed to use it, though. Not to mention a death is extremely unlikely to happen here, and would change the strip drastically. However it goes, I'm waiting to look at the next entry.

If I recall, that meteor breakage was a canon event, written in Bohemian Archive in Japanese red which is composed and written by ZUN in Aya's perspective as she conducts interviews on these events.

Looking back at the newly translated pages, post #575198 indicates that disqualification occurs after FIVE accounts of foul play. That's better than can be said for the actual Kinnikuman series, where absolutely everyone cheated all the time, forever.

Depending on what you count as "foul play," Suwako may already be toeing the line. Tripping with the rope, two instances of mace (though one was a fake out), the explosion from her bracelets...I don't think you can call Hell's Guillotine "foul play" (since it's just a wrestling move, albeit a brutal one), but if you count the other four instances, Suwako may be fucked if Flandre reenters the ring. She won't be able to use the spray of mace again without being disqualified.

The five counts may mean something different. Just like in "real wrestling", I've seen it where if the opponent is doing some kind of illegal move or hold, they have 5 counts to stop before they are disqualified. Someone that knows more about "real wrestling" may be able to clarify.

That's correct. For illegal holds, or if the victim has gotten hold of the ropes or what not, the attacker has until the count of 5 to release the hold.

well, either way, I think most of us can agree that there's going to be more to flan's actual landing hits then a single headbutt

Oh my god why are people this emotionally involved in this.

Seriously I am just reeling reading these comments.

Justy especially is blowing my mind. These characters are HURTING EACH OTHER? In a FIGHT? Wow, who could have seen that coming? Time to overreact!

It's just a fancomic about toohoos. Seriously.

First of all they hadn't been playing dirty until Suwako went bonkers just know, which actually is a product of what happened to Sanae and the fact that, ironically, Sanae was the one restraining her from going dirty, after all, she has been the one chasticizing Suwako's comments of doing "questionable tricks" (chest, etc.) and now that Sanae is not only out of the game, but in a way that looked close to death like from Suwako's perspective, well....hell is loose, etc.

The closest thing i can come out as cheating in a previous match, is something that people didn't like, but wasn't cheating at all, which was Sanae Pinning Yuuka while she was distracted, which actually is legal and acceptable, specially if you're fooling around with being, "meann and taunting" the crowd.

That victory is acceptable, yeah, it wasn't overpowering Yuuka or stuff, but Sanae took a chance and won squre and legal, why? Because Yuuka was too busy going bully tsundere and not realizing that the match was still going on, if anything that pin was a proper punishment for not taking the fight as seriously as she should.

And man, i'm someone who has both Yuuka and Flandre in the highest peak of his Touhou ranking, but you're being way too biased against the Moriya Team, out of 1 lucky pin that was quite legal and if anything it's mainly the fault of the "Meany heel that was too busy picking on the crowd to realize the fight was still going on".

Suwako is really going too illegal now, but remember, that was because of Flandre also questionable, rule wise, move that made Sanae have a bad fall in Suwako's eyes, so it isn't "oh the evil moriya team versus the poor and lawful Scarlet Team 2" this is "the moriya team vs the Scarlet team 2" period...so drop the damned bias...

    The correct answer is E.

Jesus Christ, too many people have selective reading or something.

First of all, all of you who is saying "Flan didn't think it'll kill Sanae!" She did, as naive as she is, get over it. Meilin told her this explicitly, and she shrugged off saying "Aw, it'll be too bad if we get disqualified for killing her, but I guess that'll just be a bad luck!" She feels no remorse for now.

Suwako's now beating on Meilin, who is determined to defend her Mistress to a bitter end. It's one-sided, it's cruel, it's an immature but effective way to show Flan "how it feels to have someone you love hurt."

Who's bad? It's an eye for an eye, it's fair. You might say "But Flan's so young! (495) and Suwako knows what she's doing!" I really doubt someone like Suwako will actually go so far as to kill Meilin. She's merely "teaching Flan a lesson" in her messed up way. Only innocent victims are Sanae and Meilin in this case.

Ok, so, say, I nearly kill someone who's near and dear to you. Would you go all 4chan meme on me and go "dude, chillax, It's cool." No, you wouldn't. And no, Suwako isn't either.

Revenge isn't about following rules, or being polite, or even thinking logically. It's about Pain, receive, deliver. Plain and simple.

No, problem is, Suwako isn't acting like an adult anymore here. The kanji change in her title is pretty much bullseye, "Top of the Native gods" -> "Top of the Evil gods".

Had she kept her cool, her main goal would've been "disciplining Flandre and teach her stuff". Now for me what's in Suwako's head is pretty much "Flandre is a brat who never learns to hold back and she's proud of it, therefore she needs to suffer" and "Oh, you, a mere youkai, think you can finish it against a god like me? Fool".
