It looked cute, like the bedroom of a small girl. I am a scholar who specializes in a somewhat peculiar field of research. I must have fallen asleep at my desk, or perhaps I was so tired from researching non-stop for days on end that I started having a hallucination… I stood there bewildered before a girl with a closed eye, who was innocently laughing amidst a mountain of sweets.

The girl in the room was called Koishi Komeiji. No, maybe I should call it a world― not a room. It seems that alternate versions of this girl, with different personalities and looks, exist in other divergent worlds. Through my research, I have confirmed the existence of a Koishi Komeiji with white hair and clothes who lives in a world with a freezing cold Underworld, as well as a free-spirited and cheerful Koishi Komeiji… But the girl in this room seemed different to either of them. I continued my observations while the Koishi Komeiji in front of me single-mindedly stuffed her face with sweets. She seemed to be enjoying herself, but there was something disconcerting about her expression…
