Android refers mainly to robots fashioned after men, while gynoid refers to those fashioned after the female gender. Modern use just likes to be lazy and refer to both as androids.

I always knew I loved T-elos more than Kos-Mos. T-elos is always the kinky one. Kos-Mos should know better than to resist sex with T-elos and now look at what happens. We all know T-elos gets what she wants, eventually

T-elos was boring and undeveloped. She had three big scenes; her introduction, her fight with KOS-MOS, and the final battle. Maybe if Xenosaga hadn't been cut so tragically short, there would have been more to her, but there's really no reason to like her over anyone, let alone KOS-MOS, unless you're really into dark-skinned, white-haired women.
