Just because it' in the anime doesn't mean thats how it's supposed to be, thats just how the animation team interpreted it

Ok then, Then how about this. It was red in the official art books. And i'm pretty sure they showed it in color at least one time in the manga. I dont know if they took out the color pages in the english volumes, but i know damn well its red in the official art books.

Still weird though i expected at least some of it to be black like Itachi's and Kakashi's but the only black parts are his pupils and the lines that make up his Mangekyo Sharingan, mind you i don't think they've aired it for UK yet as the only way i can watch it now is when the next dvd series comes out which is still in the normal Naruto not Shippuden.

He's gotta use a genjutsu to make her enjoy it.

Late as it may be but after waching it on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4T1e_Ty3P0 parts of his Mangekyo is black which is the circle part (Iris?) while the kalidoscope star part (Pupil) remanis red.
