I don't think they will animate it, they will probably use some clever angle, or front on view, or some sort of shadow..

belive it or not but there are people in the real world who has survived having their brain IMPALED. and atleast 2 of those people came from it with no paralysis or any trouble with thinking, true both became higly aggresive after the incident but hey if there was something WB was after this it was agressive.
