One could say that's Meiling's way of showing love, even if it's not the way Sakuya quite desired. Meiling's essentially the papa in this relationship despite the double-mama naming, so she takes it seriously to ensure that her loved ones, especially during something as delicate as childbirth, are safe. Admirable I think.

I must say that Sakuya would appreciate more if Meiling's back to her job. That maid is a workholic and we all know she won't tolerate skipping work just because your wife is giving birth.
