I actually totally agree with you on the male's as well lol. I only liked Red and Gold as well. I guess I'm just a naturally grumpy person.The only rival i liked was Green. The other rivals, not so much.

The way I see her is, let's take Hikari and upgrade her. Or I just have my yuri goggles on and see her as an offspring of Hikari and Shirona. :p

Well apparently the protagonists are older than usual so its all good
It'll be interesting to see what the anime does with her. Will they actually allow the heroine be older than Ash, or will they allow Ash to get older?.... Nah, they'll probably just retcon her back to 10 anyway (and use it as an excuse for boobs).
