Perhaps it's before Parsee become a Bridge Princess? About that, what sort of youkai is that? Do they born, attached to a bridge, like Kisume in her bucket?

No, she was a human who got betrayed by a lover and became a youkai with an unsettling heart. No explanation is given as to why Parsee went to the underground and guard the bridge there. My guess is that when she died (as human), her soul went to the former hell. But since the grudge in her heart was too great, she turned into a youkai, staying at the bridge entrance of hell in order to meet her former lover.

wow id like to know where you got that part of the story. all thats officially been stated about her was she was the guardian and escort of the bridge between the surface and the underworld, and gained her jealosy powers from constantly watching people come and go across the bridge and being jealous of their travels
Well, the myth of the Bridge Princess is about a human turned youkai. Basically, she is a betrayed lover who kinda willingly turn into a youkai due to the extreme jealousy that filled her heart. That's the short version of the myth anyway, and the bridge was part of the method of turning her into a youkai (she's suppose to stand guard or otherwise, remain in a river called Uji for 21 days).
Of course, we can't really say this is really her backstory... considering the Bridge Princess in myth is one of a kind creature, and Parsee... is she really the only bridge princess?

Not sure if it is but searching "water lover" on youtube should give a nice Video(with a pretty cool song) detailing what might have been her backstory.(is also a prelude to the parsee EWI video)
