Just what are frozen sweets? I put on airs to look good, but I've never seen nor even heard of them before. I've no appetite in this boiling heat, though if it's a cool, sweet candy, I feel I probably could. Just what kind of sweets do you freeze I wonder. Yōkan? If it were cool and crisp it'd be delicious. Daifuku? Hmmm. That might a little too hard to eat. Frozen sweets. As I let my imagination revolve around these aesthetic and refreshing thoughts, my feet, caught in this warm air, quickened a little.

Here and there, pedestrian traffic picked up. Perhaps due to the strong sunlight, everyone wore a stern expression on their faces. Taking notice of me, many of them passed me by, their mouths open agape. Was my appearance conspicuous after all I wonder? Though they did not look at me pale with fear, but more so as a curiosity. A man was looking at me, and as I gave a light bow as we passed each other, he began to speak to me. 「You, you're not human huh. A phantom out in the middle of day, surprising.」 I guess it is surprising for a phantom to be out during the day after all. 「Because I'm half human. Anyways, it's hot isn't it.」 「So phantoms feel heat too huh. You seem like you're cool and refreshed though.」 Like I said, half... Just because I'm half phantom doesn't mean I don't get hot. My body temperature is a little lower compared to most people, though that doesn't mean that there's some benefit to it. 「Are you headed toward the main street? If so it'd be good to eat some frozen sweets or something. It'll make the heat a little more bearable. Though a young lady such as yourself, you probably know as much already don't you.」 「Frozen sweets? Y-yeah, I was headed over to have some. Thank you for your kindness. Farewell.」
