Reimu beat Yukari, and its in Danmaku where everyone is closer to being equal than using their powers. Which explains Yukari actually not defeating everyone in a second. Not counting Shikieiki since she is too awesome for Yukari to touch.

The canon plot is the one in which Reimu investigates, yes, but in this comic's backstory, it must have been Marisa who investigated, and hence defeated Ran and Yukari in one go, because otherwise Chen and Marisa would not have fought before.
