My take on this: Eirin died of natural causes, and Kaguya became melancholic since she was the only person who she truly loved. Even at her deathbed, Eirin refused to grant Kaguya her wish, like Mokou, to die.

An interesting paradox: Kaguya's reason to live (her eternal battles with Mokou may only be something alleviate boredom) is also her means to die, and with her reason to live now dying she now has no way to die.

I don't really care if they do or not. I just point out errors where I see them. Two people believing a lie doesn't make it a truth, by the way. And so far, most people have argued with material that's not even of the Touhou Universe. I know it's because there's too much evidence on my part.
In the end, it doesn't really matter to me, though. It just doesn't make much sense to kill something that can't be killed. Most people argue that it's not really immortal or that there is a way to kill an immortal being (which is contradictory in of itself), or that immortality is treated like an object, being able to take it away or derive it under circumstances. Immortality should be treated more like a status. Because in the end what it really comes down to is "can it die? It doesn't matter how or what the circumstances. Can it or not?" If yes, then the possibility of death exists, meaning their definition of 'immortal' isn't really immortal.
All I'm doing is staying true to what it means.

Am I the only one who actually felt... well... somewhat happy for Mokou? She had to give up her reason for living, but she finally has closure. And I think Mystia will be able to find some closure as well...
