Actually, I'm glad Watsuki got the chance to rework some of these characters. I still remember him talking about how he didn't have enough time to work on the designs and beating himself up for making them look derivative. Mumyoui in particular was such a Venom knock-off even he was like "geez, I'm sorry guys".
