Context: The turning point for Almonde (and Mikhail) where things immediately fell to pieces 😭
Also referenced that Almonde face from this gojo pic I found on Pinterest (I think the OP is deltapork) https://pin.it/66mKUmU

So what exactly happened here. Is this when Almonde turned evil or something or what?

    That seems to be it.
From what I understand, Nyantcha is creating a story in three parts:

    • the first part is in the past where Almonde and Mickael are orphans living in a convent that doubles as demon hunters base, and Almonde is either part or fully demonic herself but that side of her is kept in check aside some occasional quirks (such as her fascination for the Moon as seen in post #6917638 ), that's when her hair was still black. She and Mickael seems to have the hots for each other but can't act on this love, since they are members of the Church. The details are still unknown but the gist of it is that shit happened, her demonic side woke up, Mickael died and Almonde stored his soul in a demon core.
    • the second part is much later (400 years later according to post #6799112), Almonde's demonic side fully awoke and she's 100% evil, and is the Headmother of an orphanage deep in the mountains, officially to take care of all the poor orphans of this distant region, actually to have a reserve of people to eat and also to do her own little experiment of implanting the core with Mickael's soul in it inside orphans in the hope to resurrect him by taking over the body (think of the Relic from Cyberpunk 2077), but so far all of the experiments ending in failure
    • the third part is some years later, and seems to follow Lazarus, the latest orphan experimented on by Almonde (which give him too a devil side with cool powers) for his inevitable confrontation against his "mother".

Very big mistake on the part of the church. Nowhere in the Bible does it ever say holiness is the result of forcing men and women of the faith apart. In fact, it condemns the practice of forcing apart men and women who are already married but unequally yoked.

How much more Satanic and unholy it is to take a man and a woman already united in faith and to force, shame, or disgrace them apart under the pretense of holiness. It is an abomination and a lie straight from the pits of Hell!

Interesting, this is probably the only time I appreciate a religious person speaking.
Though i do wonder... aren't they're other versions that may have something similar to that?

Errr... what I meant is that they became priest and nun of the Church respectively, and romantic relationship are forbidden for people who have an office in the Catholic Church, at no point they are married.

Nowhere in the Bible is it decreed men and women are forbidden to love or to marry if they desire to advance in their service for the Lord. This abominable practice of forcing men and women of the faith apart as a requirement to advance is a form of calling evil what God has called good.

"We men and women of the Order are too righteous and hhhhhhholy to engage in the filth and corruption of love and marriage with the opposite sex. Let the inferiors in the pews and the rest of the rutting herd have at it."

Of course, they don't say it in those exact words but that's exactly what they mean once you strip away the euphemisms and holy-sounding rhetoric. It is the Devil, once again, coming as an angel of light.

I was referring to heterosexual relationships. These two Scriptures don't address that.

Also, God never once said love between a man and a woman is in of itself unholy. The only time God disapproves of such a coupling is when it leads to rebellion against Christ.

But, to declare a man and a woman who are united both in love and in service of the Lord must kept apart and forbidden to marry because, "Ewwww, sex is evil!" is a blasphemy and a rebellion against God of the highest (or should I say lowest?) order.

It is an abominable practice and must never be smiled upon no matter who commands you to smile upon it.

Mm, sorry I was referring to the most common scripts for jokes. You ever wonder if irl yuri is not actually forbade, but it was interpreted in the same logic for men because of ancient-to-modern translation error?

And that is when he learned the woman he loved no longer existed... or perhaps she never existed in the first place.
