Assistant: Doctor... this research is too dangerous! Let's stop while we still can!
Doctor: We can't stop now... this project is ours... no, humanity's chance to move one step forward!
Assistant: ...even if that step involves subjecting humanity to disaster...?
Doctor: I have already sacrificed so much for this project... family, status, honor... I've already invested too much in this to stop! I will use any means possible to make this project a success! I'll sell my soul to the devil if I have to...!
