I'm pretty sure that would be inside her stomach, or at least touching it, she pretty much is dead by that point.
I'm pretty sure that would be closer to her diaphragm than her stomach at this point. Definitely seems like we've left the stomach-region and are now deeply prodding her liver.
I mean I agree with your conclusion; no doubt about it. It's like what alcoholics do to their liver, except it's not meant metaphorically here; it's literal.
