The rodents aren't giant. It's the perspective the picture is in. They way the artist made this picture they made it from the view point of the mice. They are looking at Meiko from afar. When looking at something from far away, it looks smaller does it not? MissYuu was correct. The mice are up on wires while Meiko is on the ground. It is all about perspective.
