Now i wonder what the purpose of this pics are, aside of the obvious "male VAs on females characters :B" .

Maybe a joke based on how a touhou anime isn't comming out since that "attempted" OVA from time ago?

I'd say it's more of a seiyuu_joke by matching the character with the VA's stereotypical roles.

Wouldn't be any worse than the Maikaze episode. That was like watching paint dry, but without the possibility of accidentally inhaling enough to get a buzz.

That was very much Gensokyo, though. Lots of tea and talking. Not nearly everything about it is danmaku and incidents.
