Vampires do have alternate ways. Namely, the conventional way for their kind. Really though, you would do well to remember that the "King of Monsters/Demons" in this world was overthrown by a Succubus (who is now the reigning queen) some time ago, and she is pretty much responsible for the altered (female and humanoid) forms of all the monsters.

He seems to be doing the elementals at the moment. This one seems to be a fire elemental. (We won't know for sure until the Undine trans is done, but it's a safe bet).
