I find it astounding that vampires who has not aged a day the last 490~ years suddenly have a growth spurt some few years after current canon just to suit an authors need when all other youkai seen so far remain unchanged.

Or maybe they decided that having a child who was physically older than her pre-pubescent mother would weird the kid out, so they artificially aged the Scarlets with magic. (... Or Eirin's shady new drug or Yukari screwing around again)

I already find it strange that Flan would let anyone call her "oba-sama". I kind of like that other if-they-mated's "call me onee-sama!" shtick Flan did with the hypothetical Sakuya-Meiling offspring.

I really hope someone will find the time to translate this series, though.

Sakuya looks like Yukari in that first panel. Not that I'm complaining, though.

Would need to be something like that, seeing as how dead things don't age, other than rotting. Maybe the Japanese perception of vampires as a class/subclass of oni is responsible for this fanon idea of Remi and/or Flan being capable of physically maturing...

I'm going off the headcanon that Remi decided to age herself artificially (in some vampire legends, they have limited shapeshifting abilities)to match with her wife and daughter. Flan probably did the same, especially since it seems she's taken a liking to Marisa.

There are two issues: "would they?" and "could they?"

It is perfectly reasonable to think that vampires who have never had children before might, once they do have children, decide that it might be good to look more like grown-ups than those children. "Would they" is solved.

As for "could they?" we are talking about women impregnating women. If you're fine with that but think it's ludicrous to think of them changing their appearance, I just don't even.

i Don’t know why, but Flan's being soo calm and polite is quite strange, isn’t it? (Then again, I do kinda like her like that and not as a psycho Flan though...)
