I meant a resize in the file size, not dimensions.

Historically, this has been acceptable, but only in extreme cases. 3.6MB is hardly worth it.

I see..well either way the quality of this picture isn't 100% terrible and we could always consider it a duplicate.

I don't know, some people might like something that take up less space on their hard-drive. Saving 2.2 MB from saving on an image may be big towards someone.

Understood though this image kinda solves that problem for them so they're nothing truly lose from this. All this needed was a duplicate tag and it's good.

Since the topic is brought up does post #756336 a resize of post #756338 or just some weird system error.

The source is missing for post #756336 and I'm sure it wasn't uploaded from anywhere other than pixiv, so shit, I haven't the slightest idea.

I saved the pic on my pc AND uploaded it because I had seen too much of my uploads getting corrupted already. There was no way in hell I would know how this file size thing happened.

Which is also how I uploaded the parent image of this one.

So your computer randomly reduced the file size of an image while miraculously keeping it's quality before you saved said image? All this while you're no aware of this? Well that explains why it's smaller than the "original" Pixiv image in terms of file size but now it leaves even more questions. Did you have some kind of program that does this automatically and just forgot it was there?

I can't trust those timestamps. Apparently, both of you uploaded 5 and 6 minutes before it was on pixiv.

That's actually the most correct explanation because I use firefox to browse pixiv and there is no way in hell I would use a program to downsize any image I save.

I use Google chrome to browse Pixiv and I don't even know if they're any extension that could downsize a file before saving. Either way S1eth's explanation is the most possible. BTW, the damn Danbooruup extension requires me to increase some limit in order to use it properly? That's something I could never figure out how to do.
