"Supernatural phenomena" or "spirits and demons". ZUN probably went for the latter definition, since Yuugi's non-spellcard attacks involve summoning those evil spirits for laser attacks.

No it doesn't. If you're going to be that direct with a translation,

1. You'd get it completely wrong, since kanji compounds have different resulting meanings than their individual component kanji, and
2. Kanji-by-kanji, it reads "wondrous strength disorderly gods".

Also, the first part - 怪力 (kairyoku) - means "superhuman strength".

Nothing about that contains the "terrifying" attribute.
