Anybody think they could translate to English from that if they can't translate from Japanese?
That's not something we should be encouraging. It's like playing a game of telephone; if the first translation gets some things wrong, any translations based off of it will retain those inaccuracies. We should always translate from the original language.

I was just saying it in case someone here understood Spanish but not Japanese. Yes, Japanese-to-English translation is best, but Japanese-to-Spanish-to-English was just meant to be an alternative workaround.

We have plenty of translators that can understand Japanese. We don't need to work around it by translating other translations that may or may not be accurate. If something is translated incorrectly, it is less likely to get a proper translation in the future. If you really want something to be translated, then you should post it in the Translation Request thread (topic #7805) so it is more likely to be seen by someone that understands Japanese.
