In her quest to create and perfect potions, Kodaka is not above trying them on herself. Especially as this month is all about showing support for mothers.
So when you consider all that, then Maya's reaction to coming home to find Kodaka waiting on their bed, with her belly betraying a mini-Kodaka on her way.
While Maya may need some time to take things in, Kodaka already seems happy and excited for the pitter patter of tiny kitsune feet arriving.
After all, she already has one set of small fox paws for company right behind her~
