The Aki sisters are sometimes mocked in Japan as "original characters" implying that nobody remembers they were actually in one of the games, so they assume they were made up by fans.

Ouch! The Aki sisters were in TWO games (Mountain of Faith, their debut; and Double Spoiler). They are the first stage bosses of both games, making them surprisingly weak for goddesses (especially in Double Spoiler where they were very easy to give new players training in the new game mechanics).
Original characters will be characters made by fans. Since they tend to be Mary Sue/Gary Stu, they are frowned upon even in Japan or so.
Pretty ironic because most canon charcaters in Japan are pretty much Marry Sue/Gary Stus
