Not much of a translator myself, but I felt that Moonspeaker's original translation of the pun was too clever to just remove for a direct translation, so I changed it back and put the original pun in the TL notes. Personally, I feel it's the best of both worlds, but feel free to say something if you don't agree.

Pardon me, but how is "I'll Sanaelate you" a better translation than my suggestion of "You're beyond Sanaetion"? The original text never states to do any bodily harm or anything to that extend...

I don't really see how "beyond salvation" fits with the original text at all, and even if it did, "salvation"->"Sanaetion" is not a very clear link.

I was thinking something of a mix though, where it can sound as either "redemption" or "salvation"...

Because "Sanaetion" sounds awkward not as amusing as "Sanaelate" (which, although obviously a portmanteau of Sanae + annihilate, also brings to mind other things since it rhymes with certain other words...)

Sounds are what are important, not letters. "Sanaelate" is a true rhyme with "annihilate", whereas "Sanaetion" is at best a half rhyme with "salvation" (or "redemption"). Also, there are roughly a bajillion words in the English language that end with "tion", so it's not immediately obvious what the word being punned off of is, and immediacy is an important component of humor.

I don't recall there is a lot of "Beyond *tion" around, though.

Of course, perhaps it's just my own gripe with the faithfulness of the translation to the original context. If everyone seems to be contented with it, guess I'll just let it be.
