And would Melusines somehow cede to exist? I thought they were pretty much immortal being creatures only born some ancient time ago and non of them ever died.

Melusines do die of (un)natural deaths and can be affected by worldly things. Neuv's character quest, Sigewinne's character quest, officer Menthe getting dependent on Coffee and World in Colors World quest made it clear that there's many things that risks Melusines in Teyvat, hence why Neuvillete made the law to protect them in the first place.
