One thing that bugs me about this comic: the author is perfectly capable to draw Reisen with perfectly serviceable bunny ears (#491744). Then why the change to these, uh, furry elf ears?

I'm guessing the original bunny ears look a little bit too comical to his taste and don't contribute much to the badassery that he aimed for in this comic, hence removing them in exchange for these pointy, more aggressive-looking ones. This is just speculation since I've yet to see other doujins by him, but it's the first explanation to reach my head when I saw the lack of typical Reisen ears.
