I always have trouble deciding between protection or hotness when deciding what armour to give my virtual warrior in games.

Usually hotness wins.

Well the kirin X in mhfu has one of the best (if ot the highest, lazy to turn on the psp to check) defense stats anyways, and barioth is a good all-rounder specially the U armor.
