Is there some word in Japanese for 'she' that Belgium uses here, or is it just a mistake by the translator? I haven't read much of the manga, so I don't know if Belgium knows that Romano is a boy (yet).

She uses "ano ko" (あの子), which literally means "that child" but is generally used to refer to females.
