I think Alice and Meiling actually relate to each other in some ways:

• Both are stage 3 bosses.
• Has something to do with the seven colors of the rainbow.
• Portrayed as easily forgotten.
• Has their own personal army (Dolls and fairy maids respectively).
• Both has to deal with Marisa's intrusions.
• In their respectivve first apperance, there's a stage5 maid.
• Mostly buttmonkeys in fanon,(though very rarely recently).
• Kind human-like Youkais.

But I digress.
