It was posted by a contributor, so it never had the chance to be checked by approvers. Thus it would need to be tagged and flagged to be deleted (which it now is and will be deleted in 3 days).
This is why, as much of a pain in the ass it can be sometimes, you really have to be quite thorough before uploading. So my advices:
Read their pixiv or twitter's bio first. Thankfully recently AI "artists" are pretty upfront that they, in fact, use AI. This "artist" in particular explicitly wrote "NAIとPhotoshop AI generation and hand-drawn correction" in their bio.
Scroll through their gallery. If they post so many high-quality art almost every day (in the case of this "artist" they posted them twice a day), it should be an immediate red flag.
Check if the artist's already in Danbooru's database:
If the artist's other works have been uploaded previously AND deleted for being ai-generated (like for instance this "artist"), well then there you go, that was easy.
If the artist has posted quite a lot of decent art, yet none of them have been posted in here, that COULD be a red flag. Tread carefully. When in doubt, I think it's best that you either don't upload them at all, or ask in topic #22285 first for a second opinion.
Of course there are other tells to distinguish AI art, but doing the 3 things above has personally helped minimize the chances of me accidentally posting AI art for a year now.

Problem is some are either purposelly not marking their AIgen work as that or keep forgetting it.
I'm so sorry about this. I should've realised earlier. I suck as a contributor! But yeah, It's so hard to find good art nowadays.
Well, this work seems to be AI-assisted rather than AI-generated, because as far as I can see, details such as pupils and hair are consistent. Perhaps I just went bananas the moment I saw the AI-generated tag. The question is who tagged this work as AI-generated?

I would like to add one other pointer that helps.
Check their history. Has the art style change over time? Is there a clear pattern of an artist improving? If the art is high quality from the start or the style is erratic then that might be cause for concern. Now this is not guarantied given that some are skilled from the start, but I have found this metod quite helpfull.

Sometimes it isn't really helpful, as some "new artist" are just resurfaced artist after months of "haitus" after their purging their works.

+1. I've also come across many artists who just opened new Twitter accounts to post existing works, while they already had a significant (undiscovered and unlinked) backlog on Weibo or Lofter.
Well, @pikuuwu did that for no apparent reason. They are still new to AI-assisted works I guess.
i didnt do it for no apparent reason, i did it because there was no ai-assisted or ai-generated tag on this and i believed it to be ai-generated. if i made a mistake mb but u dont gotta put me on blast for it

That's what I was referring to when I said that it was not a guarantee. But I have still found it useful as a quick and easy thing to check. And if there is no such old art then it might be worth looking deeper.

So the original author claims to correct their works by hand. Should I trust them?
