You know, I think it really speaks to the quality of this series that you could truly envision Ryuuji ending up with any of the three heroines. Just because Taiga "wins" doesn't mean the other relationships didn't mean anything, and in a genre so full of "let's have five girls fight over one guy, but not make any progress with him until the obvious one wins at the last second", it's rare to see genuine emotional depth like that.
