The 「赤い糸」 (akai ito, red thread) in artist's commentary usually refers to 「運命の赤い糸」 (unmei no akai ito, red thread of destiny) IMO, just the addition of that term in the commentary elevates this illustration to be extra romantic.
She isn't just the viewer's bride, she is their destined lover - "a match made in heaven".
