Come ON guys. This isn't the 80s any more. Aren't we beyond this yet?
I realize you have to reach pretty far to insult the intelligence of the American TV audience. But give us a little credit. We hear foreign names on CNN all the time nowadays. We're not going to freak out over "Haruhi and Yuki."

I doubt this is anyway "official". Why on earth would they call Kyon "Coin"? Makes absolutely no sense.

For the note, those who dub anime should learn to spell the japanese names properly. It sometimes sounds really stupid when they spell the names in english.

I think original name is best but there ENG. rename is not bad this very similar and not change much feeling.
