Just for note, some of the executive orders and directives he made on his first day:

    Show
    • Rescinded 78 executive actions implemented by the Biden administration covering subjects such as: advancing racial equity, combating gender discrimination, climate change, Federal actions to deal with the COVID pandemic, adding ethics requirements for political appointees, addressing the root cause of migrations, lowering prescription drug costs, sanctions against Israeli settlers accused of violence against Palestinians, and the order that rescinded Trump's order barring openly trans people from being allowed in the military.
    • Redefining Birthright Citizenship and who is eligible for this. [Note: Birthright Citizenship is defined by the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution]
    • Declared a "National Emergency" on the US Southern Border with Mexico.
    • Halted refugee admissions for at least four months.
    • Ordered the military to aid in "sealing the borders" from illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and other crimes. Ordered them to provide troops, transports, and detention spaces, and other services to "boost" border security.
    • Barring all migrants from illegally entering the US, including asylum seekers.
    • Restored the "Remain in Mexico" policy for migrants awaiting asylum hearings.
    • Authorized the attorney general to pursue capital punishment "for all crimes of a severity demanding its use" for crimes committed by undocumented immigrants.
    • Ordered a return to the office by Federal government employees, directing agencies to terminate remote work agreements and require employees to work in-person full time. [Note: This will run into conflict with existing collective bargain agreements and additionally a lack of physical office space, a similar issue Amazon has run into]
    • Froze all Federal hirings except for the military and positions “related to immigration enforcement, national security, or public safety.”
    • Re-instated his previous term's policy that stripped tens of thousands of Federal employees of their employment protections.
    • Issuing new performance plans for senior government officials who are not political appointees and reassign officials to ensure they are "optimally aligned to implement" Trump's agenda.
    • Ending Government agency diversity programs, including terminating all offices and positions related to diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as environmental justice.
    • Withdrawing from the Paris Climate agreement.
    • Ordering the U.S. attorney general and the director of national intelligence to review "potential misconduct" within the Justice Department, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Trade Commission and the intelligence community. [Note: This is in regards to cases and concerns brought up against Trump or political "weaponizing" them as he would describe it]
    • Ordering a 75 day delay of enforcing the law banning TikTok.
    • Commuted or pardoned those who participated in the January 6th insurrection. [Note: This includes pardoning those who physically assaulted and beat police officers that day.]
    • Ordering that the government only officially recognizes Male and Female "sexes", which are defined by "reproductive function." As part of this order it orders: agencies to replace the term "gender" with the term "sex" on forms; bars trans and gender-nonconforming individuals from self-selecting gender on official forms; bars transgender people from single-sex facilities that align with their gender identity such as prisons, migrant housing, and domestic violence shelters; and bars prison facilities from using Federal money for gender-affirming care. This order may also potentially allow the education department to punish schools and teachers that recognize gender identity.
    • Declared a "National Emergency" to expand natural resource production, particularly fossil fuels. Struck down rules aimed at speeding up adoption of electric vehicles and expanding electric vehicle infrastructure. Also struck down restrictions on exporting liquefied natural gas (LNG).
    • Placed a temporary halt on issuing offshore wind leases in federal waters. Also pauses approval of leases, permits, and loans for both offshore and onshore wind energy projects. Also temporarily halts development of the largest wind farm in the US state of Idaho.
    • Withdrawing the US from the World Health Organization. [Note: This will cut the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from world health data]
    • Issued a directive barring the censorship of American citizens’ constitutionally protected speech by the federal government. [Note: Specifically bars the Federal Government from trying to combat misinformation]
    • Revoked the security clearances of his former national security adviser, John Bolton, and the security clearances of former intelligence officials who signed the letter calling the story of Hunter Biden's laptop Russian misinformation.
    • Implementing a 90-day pause in U.S. foreign development assistance so the administration can realign aid toward Trump’s foreign policy goals.
    • Starting the process to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America” and reverting Denali’s name to Mount McKinley.
    • Establishing the “Department of Government Efficiency.” The order reorganizes and renames the United States Digital Service as the United States DOGE Service.
      • Note: Grants Elon Musk oversight of establishing teams of handpicked software engineers who will be deployed to all government agencies and grants them "full and prompt access to all unclassified agency records, software systems, and IT systems."
    • Ended program to reunite children with their parents who were forcibly separated at the border under Trump's first term.
    • Designated drug cartels as 'foreign terrorist organizations'. [Note: May be used to justify military actions in Mexico and other countries, which Trump had proposed previously against cartels].
    • Authorized granting immediate Top Secret clearances for up to 6 months to people of Trump's choosing without performing background checks.

Edits: Any edits are for adding additional actions.

Well for comparison sake here are Biden's executive actions on day 1. This list is one I copied from elsewhere, I had to try and compile my own listing for Trump.

    Day 1
    • Directs OMB director to develop recommendations to modernize regulatory review and undoes Trump’s regulatory approval process
    • Requires executive branch appointees to sign an ethics pledge barring them from acting in personal interest and requiring them to uphold the independence of the Department of Justice
    • Extends deferrals of deportation and work authorizations for Liberians with a safe haven in the United States until June 30, 2022.
    • Halts construction of the border wall by terminating the national emergency declaration used to fund it
    • Undoes Trump’s expansion of immigration enforcement within the United States
    • Reverses the Trump administration’s restrictions on US entry for passport holders from seven Muslim-majority countries
    • Fortifies DACA after Trump’s efforts to undo protections for undocumented people brought into the country as children
    • Requires non-citizens to be included in the Census and apportionment of congressional representatives
    • Prevents workplace discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity
    • Rescinds the Trump administration’s 1776 Commission, directs agencies to review their actions to ensure racial equity
    • Cancels the Keystone XL pipeline and directs agencies to review and reverse more than 100 Trump actions on the environment.
    • Rejoins the Paris climate accord, a process that will take 30 days
    • Extends the existing pause on student loan payments and interest for Americans with federal student loans until at least September 30
    • Extends the existing nationwide moratorium on evictions and foreclosures until at least March 31
    • Creates the position of Covid-19 Response Coordinator, reporting directly to Biden and managing efforts to produce and distribute vaccines and medical equipment
    • Stops the United States’ withdrawal from the World Health Organization, with Dr. Anthony Fauci becoming the head of the delegation to the WHO
    • Launches a “100 Days Masking Challenge” asking Americans to wear masks for 100 days. Requires masks and physical distancing in federal buildings, on federal lands and by government contractors, and urges states and local governments to do the same.

The Federal Government didn't do a great job anyways when we look at the Hunter Biden Laptop story, which they FALSLY treated as misinformation.
Great to have free speech back!

Making shit up and using your platform to spread it for the sake of political gains isn't free speech, its racketeering.

Thank goodness he doesn't have to run for another term and worry about ratings... well, unless Andy Ogles turns out to be American Tereshkova.

Too bad most of it is just utterly detrimental for the USA, but yeah, he did more work in the end.

All of it is great for America and Americans. You don't have a single argument to dispute this.

Unless you're non-binary, immigrant, federal employee, ecologist (or, well, literally anybody that could be affected by the climate crisis), woman, low income prescription drug user, transperson, refugee, victim of discrimination, opponent of the death penalty... But of course, no one will have arguments against ironclad takes like Vae victis or Après moi, le déluge and there are also very different definitions of what is "great". After all, some Americans would be unironically happy about the possibility of annexing Canada or handing over Ukraine to Putin, like Afghanistan to the Taliban. Other Americans would certainly call great a good health care, affordable education, workers' rights and a green future, but America is not for them right now, America is great now for populist crap such as renaming some gulf and a mountain... you know how much better the life immediately becomes after this, right?
