Kyouko as Midori? I'm not seeing the parallel, outside of the choice of weapon (a polearm). I'd think that Nao would have been a better choice really, spider-theme aside.

Both also have long red-ish hair in a ponytail.

From what she says in her backstory infodump, Kyouko was probably like Midori at some point, attitude-wise. She didn't start out a cynical opportunist ass.
