I don't really know... The mind of a person is his ultimate closed room for all he is. All our fantasm, sin, fetichism, perversion, hatred, love... All is closed in our mind. But with Satori, we can't hide anymore. We are us, a thing that we can think disgusted, a thing we can't assume because... If we assume this, we will not hide it in our mind.
Be friend with Satori isn't like opening our heart... It is like be vulnerable, be exposed. Afraid of the jugement she can have, afraid of what we are, we can't really say, like that, what we will become her friend.
I think about it like the same thing about Yuka crying alone... A sad damn truth, but a realistic truth. Trust me, our mind is suffisently tear apart by ourselves and the world, Satori will be like the coup de grace.
And it is really hard for Satori, because she is what she is. She can't be with all people because she has her own mindset, and this mindset can't match with all people. Try to think, you are a damn masochist in reality, you like to be dominate and you maybe will be racist.
How can you be friend with Satori if she doesn't like that? You can't even modulate yourself to be like she want, you can't become the good person she need, because you are just you...
You can't hide... You can't even evolve. Her eye is like a thing that freeze the time and yourself.
Seriously... What a horrible power... For her, for us. Gensokyo Girl will not be powerful people in our world... They will be patient for psychologist like me...

Then again, you can see her as cursed or blessed with that power. It depends on how it is used that you can really say if it is horrible or beautiful. Hell, I can go on about it for minutes, but I don't think this is the space to do so.

I dunno about the "You can't hide... You can't even evolve." bit. This assumes Satori reads minds completely/deeply all the time, and that changing yourself is impossible.
The idea is you change only in appareance. It is really, really difficult for you to change what you really are.
A example, you have a friend who love foot, you hate foot. You choose to be polite, not telling him that and listening to him when he will talk about it. But in yourself, it doesn't really change what you are.
Of course, my point of view is extrem, you can always change by other people. And technicaly, Satori read mind all the time. This is why people think she is 'malefic' or 'cursed', and hate her.
What i want to say is:
You are personnality A, but you can play many character as you want, but you will ever be A. If a person won't really love A, you become character B, the B that this person love.
But with Satori, you can only be A, and not only your are not a character, all your short idea, imagination, fantasm... She can see all of that. And if Satori doesn't love A... You can't be friend with her.
Except if you want to change yourself for her, and it is really REALLY difficult. And will you really be okay with the fact that she can see all your think, all you are? No more intimity...
Except if you leave her sometimes, and personnaly, I think it is ever sadder.
I know she reads minds all the time. The question is does she read deeply all the time. If she passes you on the street, will she hear all your suppressed memories and deepest secrets, or just your immediate thoughts and idle brain chatter?
If she does need to concentrate to read your entire mind, does it need to be a conscious decision? If you struck up a conversation with her, would her attention to you cause her to immediately read deep, or would she need to decide too?
Just how strong and how controllable are Satori's mind-reading powers?
Honestly, Satori's mind-reading powers aren't that bad to deal with. Unless you hang out with a horribly gullible crowd, an easily manipulated crowd or you have some serious secrets no one should ever know about, simply admitting "Yeah, I imagine stuff like that but I don't do it in real life. By the way, your sister is hot." would be enough to "control" Satori's mind-reading powers.
Satori can't read your memories, only your conscious thoughts. That's why her first spell card is "Recollection", it hypnotizes the opponent into recalling memories of danmaku they've faced, and as they think about it she can read it.
No, those are repressed memories. Normally traumas leave repressed memories that are in the subconcsious, that's why you need hypnosis to get to them. Or, it can also be a mistranslation. I think it says "old memories". Of course, she can't read what you don't consciously remember.
Satori can't read everything; by that very canonical fact it is possible that people can change from her perspective. Buddhist monks during zazen manage to empty their minds completely. Which reminds me, Byakuren is a Buddhist: maybe she wouldn't be disturbed by Satori's ability at all.

Don't say "i am the only person she can trust and she knows it" You're stating like it's a fact. She doesn't even know who you are, and don't tell us what she thinks, you're not her. There's plenty of Satori fans, but you've never dealt with somebody who can read your conscious thoughts, and you've never met Satori. Don't talk like you know her.

That seems like it'd be a good thing. You contradict yourself by saying, "you will always be A, but if the person you like doesn't like A, you become B." How do you become B if you're always A? Unless you're talking about putting up a facade. That would be dishonest though. With Satori, you will always be yourself with her, you can't lie, and you can't pretend to be somebody else. And if she likes you, then you know for a fact that she likes your for who you are.
As much as I would love to see enthusiasm like that, it's a bad thing when people start rubbing it into other's because they feel better or they like trolling. I would assume this was a troll comment and I will just grade it with the correct mark.
What about those of us who aren't really anyone? Who don't have active thought in the normal sense. I'm assuming someone who simply is in a zen mode and not thinking unless they have to would be generally unaffected until they actualy started to have thoughts and memories.
Weird thought aside, I would love to meet Her and simply just have a talk with her I have no clue what kind of person I am myself so if she has a better idea of who I am that would be nice.
