这是我将米老鼠的“哥哥”或者“前身”的幸运兔奥斯华 (Oswald the Lucky Rabbit) 以王国之心的风格进行的一次二次创作演绎。

幸运兔奥斯华是华特·迪士尼等人在米老鼠之前创作的一个卡通角色。本来大受欢迎，但是版权却落入环球影业手中，并且在环球手下表现不佳，直到近年才回到迪士尼公司手里——这只“幸运兔”似乎运气不太好。在失去了奥斯华之后，迪士尼不得不重新创作了造型和个性与奥斯华一脉相承的米老鼠，后面的故事大家都耳熟能详了。

幸运兔奥斯华是米老鼠的哥哥，也可以说他就是米老鼠的前身，是同一个灵魂换了新的身体。这个设定和王国之心2中索拉和洛克萨斯的关系还是有点像的，所以在绘制的时候我也像洛克萨斯一样给了奥斯华双剑刃 (不过这个设定与王国之心续作中的剧情是不兼容的)。

这张图绘制的时候恰逢迪士尼从环球手上拿回了奥斯华的版权，并且找来著名游戏“杀出重围 (DeusEx)”的制作人华伦·史佩特 (Warren Spector) 组建了新的工作室开发了一个叫做“经典米奇 (Epic Mickey)”的游戏，奥斯华在其中扮演了重要的角色。不过该游戏和续作的评价不佳，所以幸运兔再次不走运了。

This is a fan art of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit as a Kingdom Hearts character.

For those who don’t know, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was a cartoon character created by Walt Disney before Mickey Mouse. Oswald was well-received at the time, but Universal somehow got hold of his copyright. Walt had to create a similar character, which was Mickey Mouse.

Oswald is a predecessor/the older brother of Mickey. But in a way, he shared the same soul as Mickey, only in a different body. I think this is similar to the relationship between Sora and Roxas in Kingdom Hearts 2, so I gave Oswald dual key blades in this picture (apparently this is incompatible with the world buildings after KH2).

At the time when I was drawing this picture, the Disney company managed to take back Oswald’s copyright from Universal. They hired Warren Spector, a well-known video game developer for DeusEx, to make a video game called Epic Mickey featuring Oswald as a key character. But the game and its sequel did not perform very well. Judging from the record, one would say Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is actually a pretty unlucky one.
