    Poor Eiki.

Would have preferred the possible hug thing.

F.I.A said in the previous strip:
It would be a total sweet karma handed down if Kaguya ended up having to yell out to the stunned crowd to cheer for her apparent victory.

From the last panel here, looks like it's exactly what's happening.

I think it might be more teams looking to take Kaugya out.

Also Meiling just got a eye colour change.

I wonder if this is the start of the good Suwako?

    Suwako was always good.

Just don't openly state your openness toward the possibility of, then follow through on the attempt of, murdering her descendant in front of her.

War Goddesses can be kind of touchy that way.

I would not say she was "good" in the cirno/yuuka match.

Also she was especially vicious (and fought very dirty) in the scarlet 200% match. Sanae even gave her crap for it.

So when I mean "good" I mean more squeaky clean like Sanae was in the Scarlet 200% match.

Don't seem so, unfortunately. It's the gullible audience for us. Though I'm sure Tenshi is grumbling over the heel plays those two were pulling.

Then again, there aren't much that the commentators can say, since Kaguya is one of the main sponsors...

Who knows, though kicking someone out of the way isn't a nice thing to do.

Really? I thought it was just Yuyuko, Yukari and Kanako. Main, Kaguya's bribery is far reaching.

But Tenshi's expression is certainly not pleased. And I could speculate on many reasons on it. Lack of real friendship, how utterly dirty they fought at the end, how people were cheering for it, etc. But the dislike of dirty tricks is a definite as both her and Okuu were initially denied their chance to shine via such things (Tenshi was not invited, seemingly out of spite, and Okuu was basically manipulated by those in charge)

From the translated dialogue, it sounded a lot more jerky than that. Maybe it's just me, and especially not something I really want to hear from Suwako in the first place.

And geez, looks like Kaguya still gets to be the 'face'. Fuck. This is leaving a worse and worse taste in my mouth by the strip.

Ah but just think how sweet her inevitable defeat will be. I just can't picture Kaguya winning the whole shebang. Beating Reimu or Sanae? Nah.

Only thing to do now is speculate which team will manage to take her down.

From the first frame yes, but when you take into context the second frame I got the impression it was a "native goddess motivational speech".

Also the reactions of Meiling and Sanae in the second frame vs Sanae in the first (and komachi in the third) to me give me the impression of motivation more then anything mean.

I'm placing a bet that Marisa/Nitori will face them.
Real Friendship vs Fake Friendship. It'd be the perfect Kinikkuman fight.

I agree with this. Remember that Suwako lost her land to Kanako during the Great Suwa War. Yet they become best buddy after and until now. Many team who has lost in this tournament also accept their loss with grace and smile, except Eiki whose (almost) drown in tear.

I guess it is Suwako's way to re-motivate our too-serious moe Judge of the dead.

They'd really have to asspull if they want to beat the immortals; the general impression is that they're a pretty weak team. (Marisa unable to use her magic to 'buff' herself like Reimu and Sanae have, and Nitori's just underpowered for what's involved) and I think their next opponents are Reimu and Remilia (one of the stronger teams left)

It'd be either Reimu/Remilia or Sanae/Suwako that would be likely to take them down; best mix of ability and plot hax. Of course if there was somehow a Reimu/Sanae team, the combined plot hax would be too much for everyone else.

The other teams lost quite cleanly compared to what just happened. Kaguya went so far as to end the match in the most humilating fashion possible for a Kunkinman fan.

Reisen/Youmu- Were clearly outgunned, and they went on to be a couple of goons
Flandre/Meiling- Sanae and Flan are friends now, and it was a victory that Sanae paid a substantial cost for.
Yuuka/Cirno- Sanae more or less caused the team to become a real (and very adorable) friendship.
Yuugi/Orin- Gave up upon fulfilling their goal.
Byakuren/Shou- They lost a very clean and close fight, one that I wished happened more often.
Ran/Chen- with how lightly they took things, they had no chance against their opponents.

On that note Meling and Suwako seem to be getting along pretty well as well considering what Suwako tried to do to Meiling.

Even more reason to motivate a mopey judge.

But that mopey judge tried to humiliate them this way herself, not to mention twisting Kaguya's arms, so in that regard she had it coming.

And i fear the only way for Kaguya to lose is by Mokou doing something spectaculary retarded. And that will happen eventually, so we don't haveto worry.

Come to think of it, doesn't this tournament have very loose rules regarding to foul play?

I mean, Suwako used garlic in her battle against Flandre, Eiki was allowed to carry her insanely heavy beating stick into the round and the immortals spat blood into their opponents face to win.

I don't know a lot about wrestling, but that doesn't sound like fair play.

P.S. My hopes for the the win being called null and void based on cheating are beggining to run out...

Iirc there were no rules aside from "No one gets killed, And you are allowed to use your abilities if you can." Since you know, whole barrier draining you and all.

Eiki never used that rod as a tool or weapon, but a mere prop.

Heh, though they were never broken in the first place. Hopefully Tenshi convinces her that her attacks won't 'break' her limbs.

What are the chances of team Marisa winning against Reimu?
I say very very very low,Reimu is full of Plothax and seeing as how team Marisa is very underdeveloped so they wont win by plot.Unless the anti-Reimu team does anything.
Or it goes down to voting to who wins.Thats reallly the only way I can see them win (though I want them to win)

I think the finals will be team Reimu vs team Sakuya since team Sanae were up for voting I dont think the writer plans to use her for much longer and that the story Really shoves down the idea that Remiilia and Sakuya meet in the finals
I hope team Kaguya gets beaten by team Tenshi,Kaguya is the villian in my eyes and I want the crowd to turn against her.

I think this is dragging on for too long it's feeling very predicatable and it moves very slow.It was good in the beginning but now im losing interest,im only still reading in hope Reimu and Kaguya get beaten and to see Team Marisa

Well, this didn't feel like it was out of character for Suwako at all /sarcasm

I mean, not like she experienced similar feelings earlier on. Her kicking her ass out of the way feels way out of character (in regards to this story). Her slamming out the door, sending Eiki flying would have been more appropriate here. (just my opinion of course)
