Instincts told him he must take the device, after detaching the cables, he carefully holds the device in his hands. Something tells him this item must have something to do with himself, or perhaps 'it' is him originally.
As if resonated with his thoughts, his chest plating suddenly opened on its own, the connection ports of the device also came alive on its own, searching for compatible ports inside his chest, the device filled his empty chest cavity in its entirety, as if he was granted a heart.
However, the moment the cables connected, the device flashed and the dim light vanished completely-- the device could no longer reactivate, to find a way to fix the 'heart' he just received, he decided to search for an exit to this place.
