This month’s Trinquette Challenge theme is League of Legends, so I took the opportunity to draw Evelynn in her KDA All Out skin.
I was really happy with the character work and render but found myself stumped for what to do with the background. (Swipe through and you can see the version without one.) It felt like it needed something more back there. I used Midjourney to generate the city behind her, and then recolored and painted over it. I still feel torn about using it: I’m cognizant of all of the bad things about AI and its purloined datasets and agree with all points. But the parts I used AI for are not the main focus here and the important part - Evelynn - was 100% drawn and painted by me. Does that make it okay? I’m not sure, and I’ll be totally okay if you want to heap scorn on me for trying it out… but I’m also open to discussion about where the lines should be drawn.
