If they killed her off before any interaction it would enrage quite a lot of people, and I don’t think they’ll just kill her before she gets to meet either old tales again or the commander

Why would they riot? All her story and daily advise is her talking to herself rotting in loneliness and depression. So I'm wondering what's her deal, I simply like her and thought if she'd work with Noir and Blanc since they're the ones I use everywhere

Because everyone loves Little Mermaid and we don't want to see her die...? As for the main story, the Commander hasn't encountered her yet (which is allegedly why her counseling sessions are solo), but Cinderella and Grave went off to search for her while the current chapters are now dealing with Gluttony, which means she'll probably be showing up sooner rather than later. Gameplay-wise, she wants to be paired with two MG users. Blanc might work as an AR user, but probably not Noir, and you don't really want Blanc without Noir or Rouge there to lower her burst CD.

I was just hoping I could play the duo bunnies everywhere but mother whale proved me wrong about that. And regarding little mermaid's case...I didn't see many people rioting about what happened to Yuni, even though I once thought she wasn't likes that much because she wasn't all that likable in terms of attitude but the fanbase proved me wrong about that. Although I'm glad Little Mermaid is sage
