I kind of wanted to make an image that was really relaxed... after all, our girls need a break from saving the world sometimes, right? I tried to make their PJs vaguely coordinate with their senshi colors... don't know how well that succeeded.
Also, OMG LOOK MARKERS. It was nice to take a break from staring at Photoshop! So, so nice. Except I'd forgotten that there must me some magic trick to scanning marker drawings, so I ended up taking a photo of it instead to get the colors right.
